So yeah I haven't been on here in forever. But now I'm back. I'm in San Diego right now and it was interesting. I saw on my Grandma's fridge one of my senior pictures and you could see my claddagh ring. Now most anyone who reads this doesn't know anything about my life previously but the point is in the picture I was wearing that claddagh ring for Laura. Today I still wear that ring, but now for someone about a billion times better than Laura. I'm now with someone who will really respect me and talk to me and offer support in a multitude of ways. With Laura I guess it was just a big feeling kind of thing with lots of words going between us. With Helen I can really feel the love when I'm with her or talk to her and the way she interacts with me is just mind boggling to think that anyone could really care about me so deeply. Ok yeah, I loved Laura (note past tense) but in the end she gave it up and now I get to wear my claddagh for someone I love and who means orders of magnitudes more to me and who loves me in a very real, tangible cut-it-with-a-knife kind of way. I'm here in San Diego for my grandfather's funeral and he and my grandmother celebrated 60 years of marriage back in December. Some people don't even live to be 60. The kind of love that can last 60 years is absolutely incredible. I hope I learned and inherited enough from my Grandpa that I can have the kind of love that lasts that long.
